Pumpkin Pacific Giant
Latin name: Cucurbita maxima
Pacific Giant is a delightful late variety pumpkin that can grow to an impressive weight of 150-300 kg. Perfect for both culinary uses and decoration, its vibrant orange flesh is ideal for making juices, salads, and mashes.
This creeping plant requires a spacious area of 3-5 m² to thrive. For achieving those massive fruits, select 3-4 prime candidates and remove the excess fruits and vines. To grow extra-large pumpkins, it’s best to leave only 1-2 fruits per plant.
The seeds should be sown when the soil temperature reaches 10-14 ºC. Harvest your pumpkins just before the frost arrives, and if stored correctly in a cool, ventilated room, ripe fruits can last until spring. Each 3 g packet contains approximately 9-12 seeds, covering a generous area of 50 m².
Enjoy the satisfaction of growing this giant pumpkin and impress your friends and family with your gardening skills!
